This Montana rustic Working Ranch riding vacation is for the person or family wanting to see what the back-country of Montana has to offer on horseback. It includes a 4 day, 3 night, luxury camping tent accommodations. Pick from one of our four cozy luxury tents (sleeps 2, one tent can sleep 3). Each tent is furnished with cots, sleeping bags, with warmth liners, pillows, extra blankets, a battery operated lantern, a lawn chair, and a small table with a wash bowl and pitcher.
You will enjoy three western, ranch cooked meals a day with all the fixings made with own ranch raised beef. After dinner, relax and enjoy visiting with friends and roasting your own s’mores around a blazing campfire. One night of your stay we have a special treat of songs or cowboy poetry around the campfire.
You will ride horseback on 2,000 acres of private, breath taking, serene mountain ground. Riding alongside the Hereim Family, you will experience herding and moving cattle, while viewing Montana’s wildlife. You will have an opportunity to see elk, deer, antelope, moose, coyotes and bears in the back-country. You will experience several differnt types of terrain. Everything from wide open pastures, riding through timber trails, rolling hills, crossing streams to breathtaking high mountain views. We can ride up to 6 hours each day, depending on your riding ability and comfort level in your saddle. *We are certified by the Dude Rancher’s Association for Horse Safety and adaptive first aid for the trail.
Out of the saddle you can enjoy beautiful walks, mountain hiking, photographic opportunities, learn to rope, have roping contests on our roping dummy or head into White Sulphur Springs to soak in the natural hot springs pool, just make sure and bring your bathing suit along!
Horses N Courage accommodates 8 guests and is family owned and operated. We love the ranch’s smaller size so we can customize your vacation and get to know you personally. You come as a stranger but leave as a friend. We are open for guests from June 22nd until August 30th each year.
